Kaleidoscope Lichen print

This piece was inspired by the array of lichens that can be found growing on trees of the Pacific Northwest. The lichens grow in little clusters along the bark and form irregular bouquets along tree trunks. Each one is like a fingerprint or snowflake- never replicated exactly the same. These clusters come together to form a kaleidoscope-like view of the ecology of the area. Each one is beautiful individually,  but also represents a symbiotic relationship that could only be created in that exact environment. 

This is part of the Psychedelic Lichen Series that was started in 2024.
