Honeycomb Heart on Black Card

The Honeycomb Heart on Black is part of a larger piece of art that also features magnolias and bees. The heart was made with watercolor and micron pen while the rest of the piece is mixed media. Honey and bees have always been very whimsical and combining them with an anatomical heart transports me to the sticky sweetness of summertime.
